Q-Ko-Chan: The Earthe Invader Girl, an awesome and fascinating manga. Too bad it's only two volumes long. Hajime Ueda is a brilliant artist, and a terrific storyteller. He is also known for his manga version of FLCL (Fooly Cooly) which is ALSO a fascinating read.

Moving along!
I made this image to prove to myself two things.
1. That I still got those rockin' vector skills.
2. That I can do a vector art without having a template to start with.
Yes, her face IS in the same pose as the cover of the manga. But I was using a real copy of the manga to look at as a direct reference. HOWEVER! Her entire pose and the idea of a sort of Frank Miller approach, are all me. So you can applaud me on that one. Took me four hours nonstop, nearly forgetting her cottontail pom at the end. I am 92.3% satisfied with this work. Bah. It's late, I'm tired, AND I have no idea what I'm talking about.

Yeah, my friend let me borrow his copies. They were very good, and the next time I go to Books-A-Million, I plan on getting them.

Amazing, I just finished reading Volume 1 of Q.Ko-Chan!! And I must say I am in love witht he story line and the style, despite being a similar style to FLCL, I can see differnces that hold Q.Ko-Chan apart!!

lol, okay. I started reading one in the bookstore, actually. It wasn't bad, but kinda confusing, as far as figuring it out goes. But that's probably just my retardedness at reading manga. ^_^;

Haha, no don't be silly. It's quite a strange story line and at times, I wondered what was going on, and had to read through a couple times lol.

But the books are great :P
